Diane Levine joined the downtown Manhattan office of Sotheby's International Realty as Brokerage Manager in 1999. Diane, who has been active in the downtown residential market, brings 10 years of experience in real estate law. She was principal of her own firm, the Law Office of Diane Levine, where she specialized in commercial and residential real estate transactions, including purchases and sales, leasing and cooperative corporation representation. Diane also held associate positions in the real estate departments at Gaston & Snow and Lord Day & Lord, Barrett Smith, where she worked extensively with national commercial developers on acquisitions, sales and leasing of office and retail buildings, and cooperative and condominium conversions. Since joining Sotheby's International Realty, Diane has become a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and is currently serving on the Board of Directors. She also is a member of the Education Committee and the Downtown Committee. Approved as a real estate instructor by the New York Department of State, Diane teaches accredited continuing education courses to real estate brokers through the Real Estate Board of New York. She teaches a significant portion of the broker qualifying course on a regular basis. Diane is also a contributing editor to the upcoming 10th edition of Modern Real Estate Practice in New York.

Prior to receiving her law degree, Diane spent 12 years in health care as an occupational therapist (OT). She rose to a management level within this field and spent two years as the assistant director of the 35-person OT department of John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. She also held a faculty teaching position at Dominican College in Blauvelt, New York.

Diane is a member of the New York City Bar Association and New York City Women's Bar Association, serving as co-chair of the latter's Solo Practitioner's Group from 1996 to 1998. She holds a juris doctorate from Fordham University, a master's degree in education from Rutgers University and a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from the Downstate Medical Center of the State University of New York.
