In falling out of the back of a moving pickup truck as a child while growing up in a small cowboy town in Arizona, I experienced the value of fortitude and resilience. I had to stand up, dust myself off, and immediately get on board again. It was an early experience for me in challenging adversity. It was also the beginning of a life filled with other challenges and successes.
My parents provided me with the initial tools to point me toward success in life. At their suggestion, I applied to, and was accepted, at the University of Southern California. Coming from a small town, I had to adjust to living in a large urban environment, and compete in many areas with students who were far more sophisticated and experienced than I. However, I embraced college life and all that it had to offer, and I became an avid and lifelong fan of USC football. Even now, on Saturdays in the fall, my husband, also a USC graduate, and I can be found wildly cheering for our Trojans. I have learned that success in football, school, work and life depends on having a great plan and executing it with energy, the necessary tools, devotion and love.
I wanted a super-charged lifestyle with rewarding goals. That translated into my obtaining a Master's Degree, and embarking on a business management career. Both ventures were highly challenging, but ultimately successful. In 1987, I decided to begin a second professional career - real estate. It has been a rewarding endeavor, and I am proud to say that repeat business from satisfied clients is a large part of my practice. My experience, coupled with high energy, continuing education, and a strong work ethic, gives me the opportunity to serve all my clientele who choose to buy or sell in the real estate market along the coastal corridor of San Diego County, from Carlsbad to Coronado.
I have lived in La Jolla since 1960, and have loved the community and the friendships that I have made over the years. When not working, I love spending time with my husband, a physician who is retired from medical practice, but who currently engages in medical research, and travels all over the world promoting his work. We have a daughter in Portland, Oregon who has business interests there, in addition to being an active realtor. Our grandchild is working toward a career in medicine. In my free time, I also enjoy jogging, traveling, gardening, and summer sunset picnics at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club. Cal BRE#00964455
