R. Eric Axelson was born and raised in Burlington County, N.J. He has resided in the Haddonfield, N.J., area on and off for more than 19 years, although he also spent time as a resident of Israel, Philadelphia, Iowa and Los Angeles. He is an avid traveler and loves global language and culture, a perfect fit with the worldwide footprint of the Sotheby's International Realty brand. Eric's professional experience is centered on management and leadership, and contract negotiation at two financial services companies, including a division of Citigroup. He is more than comfortable working with top-level executives. His professional skills provided an ideal segue into his real estate career, where has experience representing clients in a broad range of property types, including historic, commercial, investment, land, multi-family, new construction and more typical single-family residences. Eric is now focused on representing distinctive historic, architecturally significant and luxury properties throughout the Philadelphia region, including the southern part of New Jersey. He is very comfortable using all manner of technology to be as responsive as possible to clients' needs. Eric's interests outside of real estate include architecture, design, history, reading and the great outdoors. He enjoys caving (spelunking), hiking and kayaking and once went cold-water sea kayaking off the coast of Rhode Island in an attempt to seal-watch. Animals and wildlife are an important part of Eric's life. Specifically, he rescues Saint Bernards. He currently has a four-year-old Saint Bernard named Ella. She can be found keeping him company and napping around his home office.
