That caring, steady demeanor, positive attitude and efficiency might have come from Cathy's training and experience in her initial career as a school teacher. Originally from Indiana, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Indiana University. She says, just like a good Realtor, a good teacher must be extremely organized, communicate clearly and remain calm in virtually any situation.

Having resided in cities as diverse as New York, Boston, Atlanta and Los Angeles, Cathy knows it is Malibu that has won her heart. She loves the sense of community, camaraderie, warm and friendly people and fantastic schools. Her two children attended Malibu schools and her son has gone on to attend New York University (NYU).

Cathy supports many charitable causes, including the U.S. Ski Team and the homeless children's support organization, School on Wheels. She loves playing tennis and, along with her husband, a screenwriter and film director, she is reviving her interest in golf.
