Brigitte Ouakrat was raised in Paris and spent the first part of her career in advertising. She initially worked for the American Film Festival in Deauville and subsequently at Eurocom, the top-rated French advertising agency. She founded her own advertising agency at the age of 25 and quickly became well known in the French advertising industry. In addition to running the youngest and only independent French ad agency directed by a woman, Brigitte became a prominent industry spokesperson on national television and attracted dozens of high-prestige fashion and real estate clients to her firm.
In 1994, Brigitte moved to New York, where she lives in the Carnegie Hill neighborhood of the Upper East Side. Her two sons attended the Lycee Francais de New York and The Dwight School. Upon arriving in New York, Brigitte returned to school, first at Columbia University, to perfect her English, and later at The New School of Social Study, where she studied American History and Psychology.
Fluent in English, French and Spanish, as well as multicultural and internationally savvy, Brigitte currently has a thriving business as a real estate broker, serving an international mix of clients. Brigitte brings the same level of professionalism, energy and attention to detail to real estate that she displayed in the advertising world. She is uniquely empathic and prides herself on her ability to listen to and address the needs of her clients. As a result of her experience living in multiple communities and types of houses in Paris, New York and the Hamptons, Brigitte is unusually familiar with the high-end New York area real estate market and takes pride in helping sellers achieve the best possible price and in finding dream homes for buyers. Thanks to her background in advertising and marketing, Brigitte takes care of every aspect of real estate transactions, from designing websites for her clients to staging apartments.
In a crowded market where communication is key, her strong marketing experience can make all the difference.
