She is an active member at White Memorial Presbyterian Church and has been a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, Hospice, National Charity League and the Raleigh Garden Club. She loves spending time at the coast and the mountains, but she admits that her happy place is "lake life" at Hyco Lake near Roxboro. Favorite pastimes are reading, playing bridge, board games, working in her garden, watching old movies and college football. Her greatest joy is spending time with her three daughters and her grandchild
