Our home is the foundation of family and much of our lives. Because of this, choosing a real estate agent is a very personal endeavor. It's important to find someone that understands you, your lifestyle and your unique requirements in a home. You need to trust their capabilities and professionalism. You need to find someone with whom you connect, as this person will be assisting you in one of life's biggest decisions.
Here is some information about me that will hopefully help with your choice.
I grew up in Monterey County and attended the University of San Francisco where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems. A far cry from real estate, I know. I spent some time in "Corporate America" in sales and negotiations and quickly discovered that my chosen career path left me unfulfilled. I realized that how important it was for me to have a meaningful impact on people's lives. Real estate was the perfect fit. It allows me to use my skills and expertise while connecting with and helping people on a very personal level. For me, nothing is more rewarding.
The Silicon Valley offers an amazing diversity that keeps it fresh and exciting even after calling it home for nearly two decades. I am somewhat of an amateur photographer and enjoy tooling around the Bay Area with my camera, taking pictures of the immense beauty found here. A bit of a travel enthusiast, I love experiencing the culture, architecture, art and food around the world. Travel is one of my passions and I have a lengthy list of exotic places I plan to explore with my husband, Jonathan Schwartz. Jonathan and I are dog lovers and have two feisty, funny Tibetan Terriers, Milliken and Minnie, who are our canine 'kids'.
I am an extremely loyal person and very protective of my family, friends and my clients. I don't believe in representing both buyer and seller on the same property because I believe it's a conflict of interest to do so. It's also my job to ensure my clients get the perfect home for them at the best price possible. My negotiation skills are second to none and the Silicon Valley Mercury News "Best in Silicon Valley" backs up this claim.
As a real estate agent, negotiation is a critical skill. I attended the esteemed Program on Negotiation (PON) at Harvard Law School and hold a certificate from the Harvard Negotiation Institute. This diverse, global program offers courses that focus on negotiation and leadership as well as a master-level negotiation class. Just a handful of Real Estate Agents across the country have invested in their skill set and careers to this level and hold this advanced negotiations certification.
My degree in Information Systems from USF actually does come in handy. It allows me to identify and utilize technology that effectively streamlines much of the complex real estate process. This gives my clients a better overall experience when buying or selling a home.
Continuing my education and staying involved in the real estate community is extremely important to me. Both allow me to offer an elevated level of service and expertise to the people who trust me to be their agent. The list below will give you more details about my education and experience.
I appreciate you taking a few minutes to understand about what makes me tick. I hope I have the opportunity to do the same and to put the expertise of my team and I to work for you.
