Dave Orenstein started his real estate career in 2011. Prior to joining the industry, he played drums in a touring band, worked in fashion, started a private label company manufacturing garments, and started his own clothing line, Totalitee Apparel. Dave was living in Costa Rica, helping assist in the development of a 10-home community in Playa Hermosa, before he joined South Bay Brokers. He loves outdoor activities such as surfing, snowboarding going to the beach. He also loves travel.

Tell u s about your team.
"I work with a good friend, Richard Otterstrom. He is a young and energetic guy; we just seem to understand each other and work well with one another. He shares the same interests that I do and the same honest and reliable charac teristics. He is hardworking and loves to see the deal come together. We specialize in areas all over the South Bay as well as Venice, Santa Monica, Playa Vista and into parts of LA."

What would you like potential clients to know about you? "I'm honest, hardworking and available for all my clients' needs. I have a good, sound knowledge of the business as well as remodels. I listen to my clients' needs and wants, and I have a good strong work ethic. I tend to become friends with all my c lients. I'm true to who I am and do not try to be someone that I am not. I think my clients feel comfortable with my honesty."

What does it take to be the best in the business?
"To be there for your clients at all times. To give good so lid advice and to listen to your clients needs."

How do you give back to your community?
"I try to participate in events and help my wife with the South Bay USC Alumni Association that does a lot of charity work for the community. I'm a lso an animal rights advocate."

What's most rewarding about your work?
"Getting the deal closed and handing over the keys to happy, smiling faces. That is priceless. Don't get me wrong-the commission is important, but having happy, sati sfied clients makes it all that much better."

Do you have a philosophy for doing business?
"Do good to your clients and keep their best interests close to heart. Give them honest and reliable service, and the rewards shall come to you."
