Richard grew up in rural Tennessee, and has lived in Washington for twenty-five years. He is a founding member of the Donovan-Seaton Group at TTR Sotheby's International Realty.Early in his career, Richard worked in Italy in the field of business development. He left Italy after four years, but Italy has never really left him. His love of architecture, design and style are reflected in his understanding that residential real estate is about so much more than bricks and mortar.Richard is founder of the Washington, DC-based firm Impact Marketing + Communications, which serves organizations working in the health and development arenas. Having earned an MBA, he is particularly attuned to the short- and long-term financial aspects of a sale or purchase. He uses his superior marketing skills to enhance the position of sellers in all price ranges.Trained as a classical pianist, Richard worked with the Santa Fe Opera and Washington Opera in an earlier career. He has served as Treasurer of the Washington Project for the Arts and is a proud supporter of the Studio Theatre, the Sitar Arts Center and other charitable organizations.Richard has lived in neighborhoods throughout the city. Currently he lives in Logan Circle with his partner, John, and their faithful foxhound, Henry.
