Originally from Radnor Pennsylvania, Kristin moved to Northern Virginia in 1987after receiving an undergraduate degree from Penn State University and a Masters in Physical Therapy from Hahnemann University. Her successful client-centered career in health care involved extensive clinical program development and management which honed her unsurpassed listening, interpersonal, task-oriented, and operational skills. As an involved resident and devoted volunteer in numerous human service organizations in Northern Virginia over the past 20 plus years, Kristin has gained exceptional knowledge of the Washington DC Metropolitan area and its offerings. As a mother of four children, Kristin brings years of firsthand knowledge regarding the surrounding community as it relates to families. Her love of adventure, travel, and international cuisine has taken her to many Western European, South American, and Asian destinations. She jumped on the opportunity to live abroad on two occasions, once in Paris and again in London, when her husband's job offered the chance. Kristin is an all-around exercise enthusiast with particular interests in running, swimming, biking, yoga, snow skiing, and water skiing. She resides in McLean with her husband Tom, Chief Engineer of the Wireless Bureau at the FCC, and children all of whom are enrolled in the French Immersion program offered by the area schools.
