David was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, studied architecture and urban planning at The University of Texas at Austin and upon graduation moved to Aspen, Colorado. After getting hooked on the active outdoor lifestyle of the Rocky Mountain region, he moved to the front-range to pursue a MBA degree at the Daniel's School of Business at The University of Denver. While in Denver he held senior level financial management positions both within and outside the real estate industry.
In 2000, David and his family moved from Denver to Dallas for a career opportunity in the cable television industry. As part of a dynamic team, he led a start-up business to the premiere provider of tele-services within the cable television and video entertainment industries. From 2000 to 2008 they spent every summer as well as school vacations in Vail. Passionate about all that the Vail Valley has to offer, they transitioned from part time residents to full time in 2008.
David joined Ascent Sotheby's International Realty's talented and diverse team in early 2010, with the strong desire to help others pursue the same dream of making Vail either a part-time or full time home. His enthusiasm for architecture, design and building help his clients identify and appreciate unique qualities in the variety of properties available in the entire Vail Valley.
He is active in the Vail community, serving as a board member of B'nai Vail, supporter of Vail Performing Arts, and volunteer at fundraisers. He is an avid skier and road bike enthusiast and enjoys these recreational activities with clients and friends.
David met his wife P.J. in Denver in 1993, and they were married in Vail in 1995. They have two daughters Raquel and Sophia, and two big Labradors Stetson and Lucy.
