Betty Bryer has been a broker with The Swan Agency Sotheby's International Realty since 1979. As one of the most experienced and productive real estate brokers in the area, Betty touches many lives as she helps local families realize their dream of homeownership. There is hardly an area on the Island where Betty has not listed and sold property whether it be residential, land, or commercial; some again and again as satisfied clients and customers return to her whenever the need for brokerage service arises. A huge part of Betty's business comes from repeat clients as well as those referred to her from satisfied past clients - a great commentary on her excellent performance. Prior to entering real estate, Betty taught for eight years in the public schools and then spent ten well loved years as a popular teacher at Eden Nursery School Betty's professional designations include: GRI (Graduate REALTOR® Institute), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), and LTG (Leadership Training Graduate). She is also very active in the REALTOR® organization having held many leadership positions including 1996 President of the Hancock-Washington Board of REALTORS®; state director of the Maine Association of REALTORS®, and 1996 REALTOR® of the Year. She is as accomplished in the community as she is in her profession. Betty is currently a Commissioner for the MDI Housing Authority, a trustee on the Birch Bay Retirement Village board, a member of the MDI Rotary Club, board member of the Jesup Memorial Library and an active member of the Bar Harbor Congregational Church. Betty lives in Bar Harbor with her husband Dean. They have two children and five grandchildren. For the few hours spent away from real estate, Betty enjoys walking, golfing, cross country skiing, reading, cooking, and traveling.
