Claudia Coonrod Barnett joined TTR Sothebys International Realty as an associate broker in 2009. She has been active in real estate since 1975. Most recently Ms Barnett was the principal broker for PN Hoffman Realty, a Washington, D.C. developer of upper bracket condominiums.
Ms. Barnett has been the principal broker for Real Estate Services, LLC. She was the President of Preservation Development Company which developed historic properties in Washington, D.C., including the award winning Moran Building (501 G Street NW) which won the Cornerstone Best Renovation under 100,000 square feet (DCBIA 1989).
Starting in the early 1990's Ms Barnett co-founded two nonprofits Community Council for the Homeless at Friendship Place and Community Housing Trust. She is actively involved with funding affordable special needs housing in the region.
Ms. Barnett is a graduate of School of International Service at American University. She traveled with her first husband as a Foreign Service spouse and lived in Rome, Italy and Ljubljana, Slovenia. She speaks Italian, French, Spanish and Slovene.
She is married to Jack Barnett, who is also an agent with TTR Sothebys International Realty. They live with Max, the perfect dog, in McLean, Virginia. They each have a grown child named Alex.
