Suzy Guichard McDaniel joined Dorian Bennett Sotheby's International Realty in January 2008 as an Associate Broker. Suzy is energetic, persistent, and creative. Her knowledge of properties throughout the New Orleans area (including the Northshore), combined with her experience, uniquely qualify her to stage, market and sell your home or find the home of your dreams. A native New Orleanian, she graduated from Newcomb College of Tulane University with a BA in Communications. Suzy also has expertise in investment properties in the uptown/garden district area of New Orleans. Suzy previously held an Account Executive position with an International Fortune 500 Company, where she consistently earned awards for outstanding sales performance. She is the co-owner of Ancestry Furnishings, which manufactures, imports, and sells fine mahogany furniture. Suzy is also the owner of Collegiate Properties LLC. Suzy was honored as a Leading Woman in Business by New Orleans radio station Magic 105.3 FM. She has traveled extensively to Mexico and Central America and speaks fluent Spanish. In addition to professional pursuits, Suzy enjoys non-profit and humanitarian work. She is President and Founder of Support Our War Heroes, a 501(c)3 non-profit, non-partisan foundation whose mission is to assist military members who sustain life altering injuries in Iraq and Afghanistan. The organization was recently recognized for its work with a Proclamation by the New Orleans City Council. In her Latin American travels, she founded the Quality of Life Foundation which provides medicines and financial assistance to HIV+ children living in orphanages in Honduras, Central America. She is also a board member of the Dr. Kelvin McDaniel ALS Foundation. Suzy enjoys traveling, boating, live music and wine tasting. She's an avid football and baseball fan. She has an appreciation for antiques, historic and unique homes. Suzy has three children, all studying at universities around the country.
