about this office

Meyersdal and the surrounds of Alberton Notably the most exclusive area of the Alberton Municipality, Meyersdal has developed into a mecca in the south of Johannesburg. A place where magical masterpieces and mansions grace the mountain sides of the Elandsfontein farm. Real Estate in Meyersdal provides both comfortable and safe living with various types of accommodation – in the form of modern townhouses, exclusive cluster homes and exquisite mansions. More recently we have seen the development of one of the most talked about estates in the South of Johannesburg – The Meyersdal Eco Estate. With only 343 stands ranging from 1500m2 to 3800m2 and situated a part of the larger 1080ha Nature Area, this 480ha Estate is both safe and secure. Creating a harmonious relationship between man and nature the estate boasts beautiful landscaped areas of indigenous plants, 12 game species which total 300 animals. The estate has thus far recorded 98 bird species, 28 species of reptile, 5 fish species and a magnitude of plant and insect life. The average sales price for the Eco Estate is around the R7m to R10m mark, with some price tags sitting at R38m and R22m. The Alberton area is a vast area, with many suburbs which cater for all income groups. Suburbs include Brackenhurst, Brackendowns, Alberante, Randhart, New Redruth, New Market Park, has an estimated population of +/- 205 000 with easy access to all the major cities by using close by freeways such as the R59, N3 and N12. Alberton is situated approx. 25 minutes travelling time from the Johannesburg International Airport and approximately 10 kms from Johannesburg and is serviced by rail, bus and taxi. More than 80% of all residential properties is between 350-2000m2. Our summers are mild with an average of 20 degrees Celsius and our winters are cold and dry with an average of 9 degrees Celsius. Occasional frost falls between May and August and we experience moderate winds mainly during the August month. On average we have at least between 70% and 80% annual sunshine days making Alberton the ideal holiday destination. Amenities are in abundance in our beautiful town ranging from the Alberton Boulevard with adjacent Alberton City which offers over 4 000 free parking bays including a paying undercover parking area. Meyersdal’s private and semi-private schools are rated as some of the best in South Africa, like Marion College, St. Martins, Highveld Primary School and Alberton High. Action sports are popular here, and the Meyersdal Sports Arena, voted best soccer arena for two years in a row, is a great place to get involved in recreational sports such as action cricket, netball and soccer. Meyersdal History Meyersdal was probably named after the Meyer Family, who originally settled on the Elandsfontein farm that Alberton was founded on around 1904. The original Meyer's farmhouse (built in 1904) has been kept in its original state and is still apparently inhabited by the Meyer family. Meyersdal Attractions Houses in this exclusive suburb are close to well-established shopping malls like De Maronette, Meyersdal Mall, The Glen and Camaro Crossing Shopping Centre. These centres have many pharmacies, clothing stores, restaurants and entertainment areas offering great family fun. Meyersdal Koppie in the Meyersdal Nature Reserve is an interesting archaeological site where artifacts from the late Iron Age have been found.
