Nautilus Towers is something of a landmark on Tortola’s southern shore. Designed and built by one of our favorite old time architects, Michael Helm in the 1970’s, the property has certainly stood the test of time. Carefully maintained by the present owners the house is in very nice condition. A wall of windows in the spacious living area and along the front of the house frames the magnificent view over Hodge’s Creek Marina, the Sir Francis Drake Channel and many islands therein. The large circular bedrooms are one above the other in the west wing, both with en suite bathrooms. The ample parking area has steps that lead down to the house and the entry is next to the kitchen and into the dining area. The U-shaped kitchen has all stainless steel appliances and features custom cabinetry with a butcher-block counter and glass-fronted wall cabinets. There is a study next to the living area that can be closed off and possibly used as a third bedroom and has sliding glass doors to a large deck which also connects to the living area. A pleasant courtyard in the rear of the house provides a sheltered entertainment/play area and access to the laundry room.
