French Art Nouveau bookcases from the Le Pharmacie cabinetry collection carved in 1886 plus hand scraped, hand beveled, oiled and waxed quarter sawn white oak floor has been set in chevron parquet.
The cathedral ceiling in the Great Room with its timber beam brackets and wood plank ceiling were created from reclaimed timbers from a dismantled barn on the East Coast. The oversized fireplace surround, with its distinctive design (circa 1760), in its former life originally came from a hotel salon in Poiters. The Dining Room presents with a Butler’s pantry built from the cash registers of Le Pharmacie. The craftsman who created the whimsical figures scribed his name below the feet of the male character.
The Kitchen and Morning Room floor is an antique mixture of peach and ochre terra cotta laid in Parefeuille style. There are walnut counter tops with a French limestone backsplash. The Kitchen offers all the accessories da jour, including a 60” Viking range, a 36” SubZero refrigerator, a 36” SubZero freezer, a Miele coffee station, a Dacor warming oven, Fischer and Paykel dishwasher drawers and a Viking microwave.
