THE HOUSE - Originally the site of a fishing cabin with a swinging bridge to the mainland. Present house was built in 1979 by owner/contractor is always in pristine condition for both maintenance and updates. The exterior is stained wood and finest architectural shingles on the roof. Doors open to a wonderful screened porch large enough for dining area and separate sitting area. Spring, summer and fall, this space is the favorite room in the house. Great for entertaining. The eat-in kitchen with slate floors features cherry cabinets, granite counter tops, newer gas cook top, warming shelf, double ovens, microwave, newer dishwasher, disposal and refrigerator. Windows wrap around two sides of the kitchen great for watching the many birds and ducks, as well as, beautiful herons who fish the river. The Master Bedroom features a wood burning stone fireplace and is very private. Two bathrooms for the master bedroom, his with shower and custom closet. Her bath recently renovated completely includes special free standing tub with European faucets, walk-in shower and vanity that wraps a corner. Laundry Room with sink and storage are conveniently near-by. Parking is never a problem with 4 to 5 spaces on concrete pad and two acres across the street. LANDSCAPING - The lawns are always lush and green. The owners maintain beautiful perennials and shrubs in planting beds around the house. Natural trees on both lawns ensure cool shade in summer. A wooden seating deck close to the water is a great place to read or just relax and enjoy the river. Access to the island from the parking pad is a foot bridge of concrete and steel on stone covered support columns. Utilities arrive to the island underneath the bridge hidden from view.
