June has been a busy month for the island of Bermuda. Located in the Atlantic, roughly 700 miles off of the coast of North Carolina, Bermuda has played host to the 35th America’s Cup, the oldest trophy in International Sports. The sailing regatta has seen teams from Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, the United States, and New Zealand compete against each other on AC45F catamarans in the Great Sound, a body of water located in the center of the hook shaped, reef encircled island. However, The AC45F’s are not the only boats racing in the turquoise waters; earlier this month saw the America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta take place with yachts in class A, B, C, and J competing against each other off the islands South Shore.
Rego Sotheby’s International Realty, based in Bermuda, had front row seats to the enjoyable race. With the Atlantic Ocean surrounding the 21-square-foot island, many homes are fortunate enough to have the ideal vantage points to enjoy the races in Bermuda’s natural turquoise arena.
