Steve Wexler was born and raised in Baltimore, Md. As a child, Steve frequently visited family members in the Sarasota area. Steve’s relatives were active in the Longboat Key and Sarasota business communities dating back to the mid 1950's. In 1976, Steve decided to relocate to Sarasota and upon moving to the area Steve joined Arvida Realty Sales. After 16 years with Arvida, Steve left at the end of his most productive year and founded Waterside Property Sales, Inc.

Waterside operated as a boutique real estate firm, home to an exclusive group of highly successful real estate professionals. The firm grew to 12 associates while building its fine reputation of integrity and professionalism. Three years after opening Waterside, Arvida Realty Sales, Ltd., the sales entity of one of Florida’s premier developer, submitted a proposal to Steve to acquire Waterside. Steve declined their offer and countered by proposing to purchase Arvida Realty Sales, Ltd.'s operations in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Waterside's acquisition became effective one week later. The firm quickly grew to have three locations and established its role as a major player in the Longboat Key and Sarasota real estate markets. Waterside dominated the high-end condominium market on Longboat Key, as well as the waterfront home market on Bird Key. Many top Realtors, still currently active in the Sarasota real estate market, once called Waterside home.

Several years later, Steve orchestrated the sale of Waterside to NRT, Inc., the parent company of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, with the assistance of Judy Green, then the CEO and President of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate of Florida. In subsequent years, Steve has worked as a consultant to a number of top developers in Florida and the Caribbean. In 2009, Steve accepted Judy Green's invitation to join her new firm in a sales position. Recently, Premier Sotheby's International Realty presented Steve with an award for having the highest average sales price per transaction.

Steves long term personal knowledge of the areas finest properties and huge network of contacts make him an ideal choice to guide buyers and sellers through the current real estate market. He attaches greater importance to making new friends rather than making a quick sale. His clients and colleagues recognize Steve’s high ethical standards. Steve attributes much of his success in helping clients meet their buying and selling objectives, to his use of communication skills and experience.
