People often tease Lisa Lucky that her last name has a lot to do with her success. The truth is that luck has had very little to do with it - but hard work, honesty and integrity certainly have. Lisa and Matt have been in the top 1% of Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty since 2006. In addition, they were recognized in 2011 by the Wall Street Journal as one of the top 250 sales professionals in the country. Lisa was recognized in 2012 by the Arizona Republic as one of the Top 10 Women Agents in Arizona. Lisa takes none of the success she and Matt have achieved for granted. "We have worked very hard from 'day one' and feel very blessed that we are at the top of our company." Prior to her career in real estate, this graduate of Vanderbilt University worked in sales and franchise marketing; she also spent 10 years managing her father's Plastic Surgery practice. "All of these professional experiences have served me well in understanding complex financial transactions as well as the importance of actively listening to and communicating with my clients." She adds that her father always taught her to do what's in the best interest of her clients. "He told me that if you do that, things will always work out for the best. I use his advice every day." Describing herself as "organized, honest and happy," Lisa says that, along with hard work, honesty and a strong referral business, first-class marketing is at the heart of what has helped her achieve consistent success. "Our marketing materials are head and shoulders above the competition. Our state-of-the-art website, which Matt manages, has earned repeated kudos from peers and clients alike for being easy to navigate and full of valuable information." Lisa, a resident of the North Scottsdale community of Troon Village, began her real estate career in 1999 at Pinnacle Peak Realty, which was later bought by Coldwell Banker. In 2003, she earned her Associate Broker's license and later that same year, moved to Russ Lyon, now Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty. In 2005, Matt joined Lisa full-time as a real estate partner. "But we've been 'partners in life' for over a quarter of a century," she says with a laugh, adding that we are fortunate to have our enthusiastic and energetic daughter working with us as well. "So what's the bottom line for this Lucky lady?" I love the fact that we're surrounded by other successful agents, because it pushes me to be even better. Matt and I believe that failure is just not an option; we always do what we say we're going to do and we never, never, never give up!"
