Although no longer making the NYC commute that he did for 15 years, Gene is hardly standing still, staying on top of the real estate markets from Pennington to Princeton, to Robbinsville, Hamilton and the entire 18-mile length of Long Beach Island. Born, raised and schooled in Mercer County, Gene moved to New York City to pursue his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the internationally prestigious School of Visual Arts. His varied talents and passion for art, design and books led him to an outstanding 25+ year-career working in Manhattan for some of the world's top book publishers, directing their art departments that designed the book jackets and covers. An award-winning designer, photographer and art director, Gene left his last position as Senior Vice President, Creative Director for the Random House Publishing Group, to meet an exhilarating second-career challenge. Widely travelled to over 25 countries, and with Manhattan life behind him, Gene is now happily content splitting his time between his Mercer and Ocean County residences, practicing real estate in both areas. His primary home is just outside of Allentown NJ, where he lives with his artist wife and daughter enjoying a more rural and small town lifestyle. Also a homeowner on Long Beach Island for over 26 years, he understands the benefits and joys afforded by easy access to second home coastal living. His daughter attended the Hun School of Princeton for seven years, and is now following in her parent's footsteps, studying design at The Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Through the years their family life has revolved around the varied charms, artistic and cultural highlights of this historic Central New Jersey area. An active volunteer, Gene serves on the Executive Board of The Hun School Parents Association, and is a member of The Princeton Arts Council, The Grounds for Sculpture and is a 20-year subscriber and supporter of Princeton Universities renowned McCarter Theatre.
