Susan Boettner's grew up in a real estate family and is a lifetime Manhattan Beach local. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in psychology and business, Susan worked in entertainment finance and marketing before obtaining her broker's license and working full time as a Realtor. She is married with two teenagers and enjoys swimming, gardening, cooking and spending time with her friends, family and her loyal dog, Macy.

In what ways do you provide top-notch service to your clients?
"I am meticulous about details and about ensuring my clients get their emotional needs met along with their transactional ones. Moving is very stressful, regardless of if you are making a huge profit or losing your shirt. I listen and really try to make the experience a positive and stress-free one."

What's most rewarding about your work?
"The thank-yous I get at the end of a transaction and the referrals I get from past clients who want to pass on the experience to their friends."

"Over time, I have built quality partnerships wit h loyal vendors who all step in to help me help my clients get the best service possible. I could not do it without these quality people."

How do you give back to your community?
"I volunteer at various community events, such as the Hometown Fair. I am active in both kids' schools, and my favorite charity is the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation-to help the schools. I donate a portio n of each commission to the educational foundations of the city where my listing/sales transaction is located. I've taught aquatic fitness for past seven years at The Spectrum Club, and I am AEA-certified (Aquatic Exercise Association) to teach rehab/prehab conditioning in a pool setting, which is so rewarding."
