Growing up in the rural-chic Cotswold region of England, we would hop over the Welsh border on school trips to visit the ruins of Monmouth Castle in the county of Monmouthshire. I could never have anticipated that, decades later, I would be living in another Monmouth County over 3,000 miles away.

Notwithstanding such childhood day-trip diversions, I made it to the University of Oxford and kicked off my career in the law as a barrister. My practice took me to many off-shore jurisdictions and it was following a lengthy trial in the Cayman Islands that my U.S. co-counsel invited me to join their New York firm. I threw my barrister wig and gown into the back of the closet, obtained a J.D. from New York Law School and passed the New York bar. I worked both in the Federal court system, as Clerk to the Chief Judge of the Bankruptcy Court (S.D.N.Y.) and the Clerk of the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel (2d. Cir), as well as in the private sector, including in the Financial Restructuring department of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, the oldest Wall Street law firm still in existence.

Motherhood eventually induced me out of the courtroom and I turned my attention to property acquisition and development and, more recently, sales. At the same time, I discovered Monmouth County, which for me is truly the best of all worlds - good schools, great parks, the beach and the countryside, and yet only an hour to all that New York City has to offer. What could be a better place to raise children? I now live in West Long Branch with my teenage son who attends M.A.S.T. on Sandy Hook (quite possibly Monmouth County's best kept secret). When I am not working, you will find me walking my dogs, gardening and tending my chickens and bees.

Second best has never been good enough for me and I strive to make every transaction seamless for my clients with professionalism, knowledge and skill, thoughtfulness and consummate attention to detail. My legal practice has furnished me with a rare understanding of all aspects of real estate, including financing, short sales and foreclosures and my property development experience has solidified this. A lifetime of having to think "outside the box" has equipped me to take every obstacle in my stride. I love a challenge and hope never to stop learning.
