Originally from San Clemente, California, Barbara moved to Jackson Hole in 1995 after graduating from the University of Virginia with a double major in English literature and history. She is a top producing broker with 20 years of real estate experience who brings significant market and community knowledge to work for each of her clients. This experience, combined with a strong background in land use planning and regulatory issues, is a valuable asset for new customers wishing to learn more about the Jackson area and its real estate market. In 2012, she was elected to the Teton County Board of Commissioners, a 5 member body charged with Teton County governance including oversight of its $80 million dollar budget, health and human safety and land use regulations. She was elected chairman of the board in two of her four years of service. Because of work and family, she chose not to run again in 2016. Previously, she was appointed by the Mayor to three terms on the Town of Jackson Planning Commission of which she was elected chairman twice. She served on the executive board of the Wyoming County Commissioner's Association and was chosen to be Teton County's liaison to Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park and the Bridger Teton National Forest. She was also appointed to serve on the state legislative bill review committee. Currently the president of Jackson Hole Trout Unlimited, she loves introducing people to the joys of fly fishing. Under her leadership, the chapter launched a new Snake River Headwater's campaign aimed at significant conservation expansion. The Presdient and CEO of national Trout Unlimited recently wrote: "In all my years at Trout Unlimited, I have never seen a chapter step up to protect their home waters like Jackson Hole Trout Unlimited is doing." In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, running, writing and spending time with her family both four and two legged.
