The move to Vail in 1999 fulfilled a dream for Matt Fitzgerald. An avid skier and outdoor enthusiast, he had visited Vail on an earlier ski vacation. A graduate of Boston University, he came to the Vail Valley from Portland, Maine, where he had spent three years in sales at the city's top commercial real estate brokerage, CB/Richard Ellis.
Matt has worked on a number of successful New Development Projects. His first project was the 72-unit Quail Run Townhomes, where he was the exclusive listing broker from pre-sales to project completion. Most recently, he was a member of the sales team on the sale of Gore Creek Place and The Arrabelle at Vail Square in the redevelopment of Lionshead. In 2008, Matt and his team were named to the WSJ/Lore Magazine Top 100 Sales Teams in the United States, ranking 5th in closed sales volume.
Currently, Matt is on the sales team for the Ritz Carlton Residences, Vail, which was completed in September 2010. Over the course of his career in the Vail Valley, Matt has been directly involved in over $500 million of closed transactions. Matt also served his fellow Vail Valley real estate brokers as the 2009-10 Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 735-member Vail Board of Realtors. In his spare time, Matt enjoys coaching his children's soccer team.
Matt resides in Edwards with his wife, Erika, eleven-year-old daughter, Sadie, and eight-year-old son, Maddox.
