In New York she served as a Tax Consultant to the Ford Foundation and then opened her own accounting business before pursuing a Masters Degree in Social Work at Stony Brook University. She spent several years in private practice as a psychotherapist in New York and Long Island honing her great understanding of people and her ability to tune into their unique needs.Before settling on Shelter Island in 2004, she spent 10 years in Sagaponack and 3 years in Orient. Currently a resident of Shelter Island, Lisa appreciates the unique beauty of the South Fork, North Fork and Shelter Island. Because she enjoys her home , garden and surroundings so very much, she enjoys helping others secure their dream lifestyle. In addition to her real estate activities, she is involved in counseling, has been a past Trustee of her church, and former Trustee and Chair of the Finance Committee of the Oysterponds Historical Society. Presently Lisa serves as Past President of the PTSA Board of Shelter Island and Treasurer of the Garden Club of Shelter Island. She enjoys cruising and fishing on her 1962 Thompson Runabout, playing tennis, snow skiing, gardening, studying piano and taking her dog Meriwether to the beach.
