Eighteenth-century ‘Monte’ (typical Alentejo farming estate) situated in Monsaraz, currently operating as a Manor Guest House, situated in an area of great historic interest. Its first buildings date back to 1770. There are Roman remains of the III century, including a cistern fed by a mineral water spring, which supplied ancient gardens, orchards and vineyards. Totally restored to its original rural state, it has excellent finishes, good thermal insulation, central heating systems and under floor heating. Housed in a plot with a 15,000sqm area and with a total construction area of 1.125sqm, it consists of seven houses, five of which are independent, in a total of 6 living rooms, 15 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and five kitchens. Outside there is a pasture area (apt for wine production), a citrus orchard, a garden area, lots of trees, lush flower gardens and seating areas. The terrain offers stunning views in all directions. From the courtyard through a forest path you can enter in an idyllic land area (3,000sqm), which provides shelter to a large vegetable garden and orchard. On the side of the main house there is a park with gardens. Here is also a second natural water well with its original wash stones of the era.
