À propos de Via de' Benci, Firenze, Florence

Historic building designed by Brunelleschi, dating from 1420 and completely renovated in 2011. The apartment, built as a theater, is the same where the opera was performed for the first time attended by the Count Bardi, hence the name of the palace, and Vincenzo Galilei, Galileo's brother. From a magnificent courtyard with arched porch one reaches the main floor where the apartment is located. Downstairs: entrance hall with library, charming master bedroom with frescoes with en suite bathroom, two rooms with own relax area and bathroom en suite connected by a large open space with a height of 7 meters, guest bathroom, laundry. At the top level, mezzanine (height 3 meters) that overlooks the lower floor with living room, dining room, kitchen, cocktail and coffee bar. The style is a combination of the finest contemporary Italian design and architectural Florentine details of the '500. All the rooms are very spacious. The interior is superbly decorated with original works in stucco, stone and frescoes of the eighteenth century. The furniture of the Bauhaus designers are the best: Van Der Rohe, Eames, Le Corbusier, coordinated with a valuable seventeenth century sofa and two terracotta statues. The lights of Castiglioni, Flos and Fontana Arte give to the place a truly special atmosphere, especially during the evening. The equipment of the kitchen and internal systems are works of art: wi-fi internet, air conditioning, heating, sound system, video system, flat screen TVs in living rooms and in each bedroom, DVD and CD players, satellite TV, water purification system. Floors in"pastellone", Bisazza in the bathrooms. Concierge service.

Each alley, street and boulevard, coveys the atmosphere of the Renaissance when Florence used to be an influential city for art, literature and scientific research, the birthplace of such big names as Dante, Machiavelli and Galileo. Outstanding works including the Dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore by Brunelleschi, the statue of David by Donatello and the painting Tondo Doni by Michelangelo attract millions of tourists every year. The majestic Palazzos are historic homes with frescoed rooms and precious stone steps and hide sometimes modern interiors which perfectly blend into the Renaissance style and the local neighbourhood atmosphere. The river Arno that comes from the Appennini mountains, flows across the city under the Old Bridge and then alongside the majestic Palazzos of the historic centre, before emptying into the Ligurian Sea shortly after Pisa.On the opposite bank of the river, there is the Oltrarno, a district of shops and antique boutiques, gardens and Palazzos, squares and narrow streets, trattorias and bars.Squares and streets breath everywhere the love for art and culture as well as the love for the authentic cuisine and the Italian dolcevita, making the old "Florentia" a perfect place where to live.
