Maui entrepreneur, business owner, parent, and active community member for over 20 years, Mien brings diverse knowledge and experience to her work in real estate: she grew up in Malaysia speaking Malay and the Chinese dialects of Hakka, Cantonese, and Mandarin; she polished her English in a Sussex, England boarding school; she completed her Hotel Management training in London with Trust Houses Fortes and she worked in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia under the leadership of Bob Burns, founder of Regent International Hotel.She co-owned and operated Maui's favorite Chinese restaurant, Ming Yuen and she has been an investor in Hawaiian real estate since the 1980s. Committed, hard working, interested in people, and a love of architecture, together with her business skills, have enabled Mien to build a strong referral base of friends and satisfied clients. After exploring most of the world, she has concluded that Maui is truly No Ka Oi.
