Born and raised in the Jackson Hole Community to long-time Jackson residents, Laurie is the definition of native. She began living the mountain lifestyle immediately; skiing at age 2, her passion and talent for outdoor sports was evident right away. By 7 she was competitively alpine ski racing. Over the course of the next decade, Laurie joined the ranks of the top juniors in the nation but due to a number of recurring knee injuries, she made the decision to end her ski racing career and shift her focus toward academia at the University of Colorado at Boulder. During her four years Laurie majored in Political Science and graduated among the top in her class. Having been raised by one of the top producing real estate brokers in Jackson, without a second of hesitation, Laurie chose to follow in her mother's real estate footsteps. Now with several years of her own experience, a true passion for the Jackson Hole lifestyle, and an unparalleled knowledge of the valley, Laurie feels like she brings a unique set of qualities to the Jackson real estate community. Though competitive skiing is behind her, she continues to be a sports enthusiast. Rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking are a few of her favorites, but she generally just loves to be outside and in the mountains with her dog, Greta. One of her other passions is giving back to this community, which she does by volunteering her time as a mentor with the Teton Mentor Project, and serving as a board member with the Community Counseling Center and the Competitive Grants Committee of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole.
