I am Nicki Herrington. While I am proud of my Indiana roots, I feel more like a lifelong St Louisan. I raised my family here. I have lived in five homes in St Louis and have renovated each of them. I am a real estate professional who truly believes in investing in the community. I have a passion for what I do and I am energized by using my experience to make the home buying and selling process enjoyable, seamless and stress free for the clients I serve.
I acquired my real estate broker's license in 1985. I also earned the CRS and GRI designations. I joined the Multi Million Dollar Club back when that was not so easy to do. I listen carefully to the needs of my clients. I educate them on what is a good opportunity and one that might be better avoided. Of course, the decision is always theirs. I consider myself to be a skilled and committed advocate whether negotiating and understanding the subtle nuances of a contract, working with an inspector or making the way from acceptance to the closing table. I grade myself on one thing--the satisfaction of my clients.
I have been fortunate in my career and in turn I have always believed that a person's character is tied directly to what they give back as a volunteer. It has been my pleasure to have served as a major fundraiser for my children's schools and Children's Hospital. I am occasionally a proud foster parent for kittens for the APA and I am a member of Washington University's neighborhood council. I co-chaired two bond issue campaigns, which passed handily, for the city of Clayton. I served on the Board of Directors of the St. Louis Art Fair for six years. My proudest achievement was serving four years as president of the commission that oversaw the designing and building of the Center of Clayton.
My other passions include world travel and art. I have been to 30 countries and try to add one or two a year to my list. I am a member of the RKR art club that meets at the St. Louis Art Museum. I love learning about and seeing art when I travel as well as home.
I love what I do. Most of my business comes from referrals I receive from friends, neighbors and past clients. I have worked with some families through five moves. It would be my privilege to represent you. Selling a home can be a cause for celebration, sometimes it's not. Whatever the circumstances I will help you with the multitude of decisions. Buying a home comes with its own set of issues. My job is to manage the transaction in a calm, professional manner to your best advantage. I would be honored to help you.
