This ultra-modern villa is built into the rocky hillside and commands spectacular views of the Gulf of Thailand and the Samui coast yet is just a few minutes walk to the beachfront. The villa, designed by renowned Bali-based architect Gary Fell, is spread over five levels, layered into the natural rock formations rising from the coast. The design is cutting edge, the decor minimalist - the building is sharp and angular, with whitewashed walls and flat roofs. A roof pond and infinity edge swimming pool, together with extensive use of local stone and landscaping, blend it into the natural surroundings. The villa has four spacious air-conditioned bedrooms, two on the lower levels and two at the top, all with breathtaking sea views. Each room has a large ensuite bathroom, in-room safe, and opens onto a private outside area or deck. At the heart of the villa is an open-sided living area, cooled by ceiling fans and flanking the slate-tiled infinity-edged swimming pool. There is a large L-shaped sofa, a dining table seating eight people and a fully equipped kitchen and bar. Just off the living room is a glass walled air-conditioned entertainment room, complete with plasma-screen television and home theatre. At the very top of the villa is a secluded garden area and deck - ideal for those sunset cocktails. Views don't come better than these. The villa is located within a well established estate which blends luxury and elegance with modern Thai architecture, occupying a tranquil location overlooking the sparkling ocean and rolling hills of Koh Samui, yet still only a few minutes drive away from the vibrant beachfront area of Chaweng.
