While serving as a Team Leader for Mary Kay Cosmetics she was awarded the very prestigious award of a car, presented to her personally by Mary Kay Ash. She is most proud of this achievement because she touched so many women's lives in such a positive way in order to achieve this award.The question April receives most often is; "were you named April because you were born in April"? Her response is always the same. "I have a sister named Monday who was born on a Sunday and a sister named Autumn born in the spring. So no I was not born in April. I was born in March and named after a Frank Sinatra song. As for my sisters, it's a long story".After many fulfilling years of managing and teaching, April's true passion is helping people in any way she can and watching them grow and succeed. Programs that benefit children, education and health/medical research are the causes she chooses to support. April volunteers her time with various programs helping with underprivileged children. With four children of her own, April spends a great deal of time volunteering in the classrooms of her children's schools, participating in fundraisers, festivals, and taking on various enrichment projects. She also serves on the board of the Parent Faculty Association. A portion of her income from each home sale is donated to her children's schools. April also enjoys competing in triathlons, marathons, quilting, photography, travel, music and playing the piano.April has consistently received awards and performs in the top 10% on a consistent basis.
