Sea Horse Ranch 148 is special. It combines both elegance and engineering. The design and layout is extraordinary. From the moment you approach the villa and see its beautiful landscape and gardens you will want to explore further. The exquisite front entry leads you through sleekly designed planters up to a four column front entry and double entry doors nearly 3 meter-high. Once inside the entry foyer, you immediately get the feeling of spaciousness and qualtiy. Your first view through the foyer will be the outside gardens, swimming pool and covered terrace lounge areas. To the left you will see secluded gardens built for a caribbean feel throughout the villa. To the right you will see an elegant winding staircase that takes you to the second level which contains the master and guest bedrooms. The attached photos will tell the rest of the story. In addition to all the interior amenities, this villa is located on one of the 3 largest and most beautiful resorts in the Dominican Republic, “Sea Horse Ranch”. At your disposal are 4 Tennis courts, places for horseback riding, and a restaurant by the sea. There is also an administration building to address proprietor’s needs with a concierge and security service which ensures that only desired visitors are allowed in. Throughout the resort is a 24-hour security patrol. The owners of the other villas on the resort are either local industrialists, Swiss, Germans, Americans or other foreign nationalities. Seahorse ranch is only 15 minutes away from the Gregorio Luperon International Airport (Puerto Plata POP). It is situated between Sosua and Cabarete which have many international restaurants for dining out. There are also medical facilities and super markets available when needed. This villa is 300 feet from the ocean and can be accessed by the community pool next to the restaurant. The sleek 2-story design is anchored with a foundation consisting of reinforced concrete 2.62 ft (80 cm) into the coral base. The ground floor is built with H stones which is completely lined with concrete and reinforced steel. The second floor is also built with H stones in which the corners and beams are connected and secured with concrete and steel frames. The roof construction is very elaborate. The roof tiles have under-structures made of spruce wood painted white with paint that does not stain. This underlay is composed of 50-fold multiple layers of aluminum sheeting to protect the interior rooms from the penetrating heat of the Caribbean sun. This product design uses aerospace technology and provides a comfortable climate within the house. As such, there is less demand for interior air conditioning. The red roof tiles feed into a perimeter gutter system that has screens to protect the gutters from birds and other debris. All doors and windows in the entire house are a Swiss design and made of solid mahogany wood. The frames have Baroque patterns and contain double-paned safety glass. The only exception is the interior hallways which has only a single pane of safety glass. All windows are made of Swiss quality and include hinges, rubber sealing, “Ha¨feli” chromium steel fittings and aluminum rails on the ground. All windows are rainproof and windproof with no possibility of penetration by insects, ants, or animals. Each room has bottom-hinged windows that are equipped with bug screens and can be used for cross ventilation in case air conditioning is not desired. (Villa 148 is only one of the few type systems in “Sea Horse Ranch” with such windows!) All 21 internal doors made of solid mahogany with panels of Baroque patterns, hinges, and rubber sealing.
