Virginia Damianos Premock 1948-2014. For the past 30 years, Virginia Damianos Premock was at the helm of Damianos Realty as the Vice President and Managing Broker. Together with George Damianos, her brother and our Company President, Virginia played an integral role in steering their third-generation family business in to a global partnership with Sotheby’s International Realty as well as overseeing the brand’s expansion to the Lyford Cay, Old Fort Bay, Eleuthera, Exuma and Abaco markets. Virginia’s determination and enthusiasm for her real estate business distinguished her as one of the most highly respected and revered real estate professionals in the Bahamas. Throughout her impressive career, Virginia was continually recognised for her work and her passionate involvement with the local real estate community. As a member of the Bahamas Real Estate Association and Treasurer of the Association for two consecutive years, she was very active in the efforts of the Association to uphold and enforce the standards of professionalism in the real estate industry of the Bahamas. Virginia played a vital role in the creation of the Bahamas Real Estate Handbook and in 1998, Virginia was recognised by the Zonta Club of New Providence as a ‘Living Legend’. She was also a loyal supporter to various local charities. Virginia will always be remembered as an astute businesswoman with invaluable insight and advice. Her zest for life was evident every day in her bright smile and positive outlook. Virginia was an inspiration to her family, her friends, her team, her loyal clients, and her many business associates and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Virginia’s youngest daughter, Lana Rademaker, who has worked in the family business as an Estate Agent since 2001, will continue to oversee the family business in the role of Vice President of Damianos Sotheby’s International Realty, Lyford Cay Sotheby’s International Realty and Old Fort Bay Sotheby’s International Realty.
