Julia Fulper Hardt grew up in a real estate family. Fulper Real Estate, like John T. Henderson, Inc., was a highly respected, customer-centered firm in Mercer and Bucks Counties for over fifty years. So, it was with a happy sense of a circle completed that Julie joined the Henderson family at their new company in 2001. Julie is a graduate of Miss Fine's School and Wheaton College. She is the wife of William M Hardt, the Director of Annual Giving at Princeton University, and the mother of two sons. She has been a teacher, an administrator for two architectural firms, and, with her sisters, a founder and co-owner of Fulper Tile, established in 1985 with the historic mission of bringing back the art of her Grandfather Fulper's renowned pottery. The Henderson affiliation with Sotheby's is particularly significant for her, because it combines two unique legacies, art and real estate. A number of Fulper Pottery showcase pieces have been auctioned at Sotheby's over the past few decades, a testimonial to the artistic value of the pottery and to the resurgence of interest in the "arts and crafts" movement of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.Other such pieces are part of the permanent collections of prominent museums, such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Installations for Fulper Tile, produced in 1980s and 1990s using those spectacular glazes, include a floor of a decorative arts gallery designed by Michael Graves as part of the museum's renovation in 1989, and which he deemed "the benchmark for the entire renovation project", and a new line of "reissue" tile-top tables produced by Stickley Furniture Company.Fulper Tile also crafted several reproduction pieces, including vases and lamps featured in New York Magazine and Martha Stewart Living.After a number of years as a sales associate, Julie recently earned her broker's license and is now the manager of Henderson Sotheby's International Realty's new branch office in Pennington, NJ. She continues to list and sell properties without any circumscribed geographic boundaries, and, because she is licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, she can give comprehensive tours on both sides of the Delaware River. Her personal history, so closely interwoven with Bucks and Mercer Counties, and real estate, uniquely qualifies her as a realtor.
