This small convent was built in 1612 by Capuchin monks. It is ideally situated only 500 meters from the historic center of Tavira, the most ancient, quaint and preserved city of the Algarve. In 1840, the convent became a hallmark of a rural family home. Finally, in 1994, the owners painstakingly restored the convent preserving the simplicity, stillness and harmony of the structure and its unique history.
