Before coming to Sotheby's International Realty, Rusty spent 15 years as an Investment Advisor. Ten of those years were with Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney. Later he formed his own investment advisory firm and launched a hedge fund.
Rusty decided his personal experience in finance and investment management provided him with unique and valuable tools that made him stand out in the real estate field. Reliability and professionalism were always Rusty's top priority with clients and their assets, and that has carried through to his real estate practice as well. Reviews from his clients highlight his promptness, reliability, professionalism and dependability. Rusty works diligently for his clients regardless of whether their price range is high or low. In 2013, Rusty helped many different buyers searching for homes across the Wasatch Front and Park City areas, as well as listing for sale one of the most unique historical properties in Northern Utah- the seven acre Old Rock Mill Property in Farmington, Utah.
As a lifelong resident of Utah, Rusty is very knowledgeable about the varied neighborhoods, the schools, and the commutes. He prides himself on being thorough, dependable and easily accessible to his clients. While Rusty provides real estate services for all the areas of the northern Wasatch Front, including Salt Lake City and Park City, he specializes in the Davis County, Huntsville and Eden areas.
Rusty's team allows him to focus on the most important tasks in real estate: prospecting for buyers, networking with other top producing agents in the marketplace, being an advocate for his clients, negotiating contracts, following up on leads and aggressively marketing his clients' homes. Rusty earned a B.A. in Finance from the University of Utah and lives in Centerville, Utah with his wife and five children. His interests include boating, skiing, snowboarding and golf. He coached Little League Football for 6 years and was elected as the Davis County Republican Party Chair in 2011.
