Licensed in the state of Oregon. Ron grew up in southeastern Montana and holds a degree in Agriculture from Montana State University where he was a bareback and saddle bronc rider on the rodeo team. Upon graduation, he was hired by the Deschutes National Forest as a Range and Wildlife Conservationist where he monitored usage of Forest Service rangeland for cattle and wildlife. While in Central Oregon, he received orders to active military duty and served in the US Air Force for 21 years as a jet fighter pilot and instructor. He flew 300 combat missions in Vietnam earning 15 Air Medals and the Distinguished Flying Cross before returning to the US to train other pilots for combat. He served in a variety of training, operational and command assignments in the US, Asia and Europe before retiring in the rank of Colonel. After leaving the Air Force, Ron managed an aircraft services operation in Saudi Arabia before finally settling back in Central Oregon where he and his wife, Liz, started a registered Quarter Horse business. Ron shows his horses in Cutting Horse competitions in the US and Canada and won a world championship in 2007. Ron has been a top producing ranch broker for over 20 years. He has won numerous awards for sales production and was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. He is experienced in guiding buyers and sellers through complex issues associated with rural properties.
