Matthew is orginally from Oyster Bay Cove, NY and graduated from Phillips Academy (Andover) and Bates College. At Bates, Matthew majored in economics and wrote his thesis on the History of Ski Resort and Real Estate Markets. He has also studied in France, Chile and Spain, and traveled extensively throughout Europe, South America and Northern Africa; he speaks both French and Spanish. Matthew enjoys skiing, 4-wheeling, sailing, fishing, gardening, travel, international cultures, and European art and history.
Matthew is the immediate past-president of the Telluride Association of REALTORS, is the Colorado Association of Realtors Mountain District Vice President-Elect, and serves on the CAR Legislative Policy Committee and the National Association of REALTORS Public Policy Coordinating Committee. He also serves on the board of the Telluride Aids benefit, and formerly served on the Telluride Historic and Architecture Review Commission (HARC).
In addition, Matthew is part owner and founder of Telluride Eco Cleaners. He had vacationed in Telluride for many years prior to moving here. Matthew has been a broker associate in Telluride for over nine years and has spent eight of those at Peaks Real Estate Sotheby's International Realty. He is the 2008 Telluride REALTOR of the year.
