A native of Griffin, Ga, Dee attended the University of Georgia where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and Belle Corp. She relocated from Atlanta to St. Simons Island in 1972. " The minute I arrived, I knew this island would be home to me from then on. It is the most unique place I have ever been and no matter how much I travel to other locations, I realize how drawn to this island I am and what a good feeling it is to cross the causeway and realize this is home." Starting a real estate career in 1979, she has become one of the top listing and selling agents on the island. She established her own company in 1995 and served as broker. Dee just recently joined the firm of DeLoach Sotheby's International Realty as associate broker. She has been the recipient of the Oglethorpe Award and has been a member of the Circle of Excellence for 31 years. She is a member of the Golden Isles Association of Realtors, the Georgia Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. She is a graduate of the Georgia Realtors Institute (GRI) and is an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR). "The highlight of being a real estate agent for me has been the opportunity of working with customers who have become lifelong friends. It is very satisfying to help someone create a living environment that they truly love. I am available for my buyers and sellers whenever they need me and strive to provide them with the best possible real estate service and experience" says Dee. Dee has children and grandchildren in California and South Carolina who love to return to the Island for visits. When she is not working in real estate, she has found the Golden Isles to be very inspirational for her oil paintings, and she and her husband, Tom, enjoy walking the beach and gardening.
