Acerca desta propriedade

Sobre 245 Conklin Hill Road

Samuel Huntting House. This historic Greek Revival house was built in 1840 by master carpenter and designer Nathanial Lockwood (1796-1843) as a wedding present for his daughter Anna. Set on 78 protected acres off a quiet country road this classic addition to an earlier farmhouse is unchanged and has paneled pilasters at all four corners, an imposing front entry and pedimented gable end with large triangular attic windows. The copper roof was recently added. Also added inside was an air handling, humidifier control system necessary for fine furniture and art. Inside the house the rooms are extra-large with high ceilings. The whole house is light and sunny. It has a wide generous hall with formal staircase, two formal living rooms each with fireplace, a charming dining room with fireplace and outside entrance and a smaller sitting room with fireplace off the kitchen. There are three staircases in all, 4(5) bedrooms, 3 ½ bathrooms. A second 2-bedroom house used as a guest house is privately situated out of sight with its own separate driveway and a 2-car garage. Situated midway between Millbrook and Rhinebeck in the Hudson Valley. 1¾ hours north of New York City.
