This lovely Federal style house is one of the original homes in Somesville, Town of Mount Desert, Maine. John Somes purchased the land in 1803 and shortly thereafter built the home that sits at 8 Oak Hill Road. Situated on one acre, the home was completely reconstructed in 1990. The reconstruction included all new mechanical systems, plumbing, wiring, roof, and siding.
