Phillipa's real estate skills were perfected in her off duty hours as an emergency room nurse, starting when she bought land and built a home at the tip of Belvedere Island in 1975. Since that time she has been involved in property management through buying, selling and renting of homes in Marin County. Whether as a buyer's or seller's agent, these experiences helped her develop the manner and style in which she wanted to be recognized as a realtor. She started working as a full time agent in 2003, first at Coldwell Banker, then at Decker Bullock Sotheby's International Realty where she is currently employed.
She is an excellent negotiator, and is always well prepared. Before the commencement of discussions or signing of any document she asks herself, "is this in my client's best interest?" -- and her clients attest to her integrity, commitment and knowledge of their needs. In addition she keeps herself well informed about local market real estate conditions through continuing education and networking groups.
As a seller's agent, her skill-sets, in tandem with the superb marketing team at Sotheby's International Realty, will give your home the maximum exposure locally, nationally and internationally, on the internet and in print. As a buyer's agent she brings the knowledge that comes from being a resident of Marin County for over 40 years. Raising her family in Marin has given her an in-depth knowledge of the different towns and areas of the County, and the amenities and lifestyles they have to offer. Her children attended local and private schools in Marin and San Francisco.
Phillipa has lived in Tiburon and Belvedere since moving from New Zealand many years ago. She is a current board member of the Belvedere Tennis Club and of the Lyford Cove Old Tiburon Homeowners Association. She is also a member of The Children's Theatre Association of San Francisco. She was also a member of the Community Council at California Pacific Medical Center's Institute of Health and Healing for seven years.
