John Bates, a fourth generation real estate agent in the town of Greenwich, meets his clients' goals. With over a decade of experience, he has listed and sold a wide range of properties including multiple homes located in Belle Haven, Mead Point and Harbor Point. John also has strength in buyer representation and has negotiated and closed a number of transactions from single-family homes to condominiums and land purchases.

With experience in the home improvement business, John recognizes the potential of a home as well as certain problems that an inexperienced eye may overlook. Having the ability to navigate the Town Hall and its various departments such as Planning and Zoning, Wetlands, the Building Department and Health Department, John can be effective in researching a specific property.

Working with Sotheby's International Realty, Greenwich's number one realty firm in sales volume, John offers powerful and effective marketing programs that supply local, national and global exposure. A graduate of the Greenwich Country Day School and of Greenwich High School, John has an intimate understanding of the community's both public and private school systems. He received a BA from Lynchburg College.
