Janine is licensed broker in Vermont with an extensive background in real estate starting in the 1970's when she worked for her mother Georgina Williamson's brokerage office in Woodstock, VT. The Williamson Group was a highly respected agency and she credits her success today to the guidance and tutelage afforded her by her mother during Janine's tenure there. She ultimately became a broker herself and worked extensively throughout Vermont specializing in listing country estates. In addition to real estate, Janine is a Commissioner of the Vermont Superior Court based out of Windsor County where she oversees and settles civil cases involving complex real estate issues. Janine has always been civic minded. She enjoys an extensive background serving in a variety of capacities on various boards and community organizations. She is currently Documentary Committee Member for White River Indie Films in White River Junction. Past endeavors have included grant writing and fundraising for Old Dog Documentaries in Woodstock, fundraising for the Grandmother to Grandmother project which supports grandmothers in the Bronx, NY and Tanzania, she served on the advisory board for Opera North in Lebanon, as a Docent and fund raiser for Horizons Observatory in South Pomfret, served on the advisory board for the Norman Williams Public Library in Woodstock and was President of the Woodstock Nursery School. Janine currently resides in Hanover and is married to Michael J. Tsapakos, MD who is the Director of MRI and Body Imaging at DHMC. In her spare time Janine enjoys hiking, swimming, biking, film, writing and sailing.
