After twenty-six years as a successful corporate lawyer, I resolved to put the words "what if" into permanent hibernation.
I joined Heritage Sothebys International Realty to merge my experience as a skilled negotiator and transactional attorney with a long held passion for real estate. Its a passion that has only intensified since my move to the Napa Valley in 2002.
Leaving my hometown in Philadelphia, I earned my Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University Law School, in Chicago, and held positions of increasing responsibility in the corporate law departments of British Petroleum, Abbott Laboratories and, most recently, the health care giant, Johnson & Johnson, where I served as an Assistant General Counsel.
In 2000, when I made the decision of my life to move to California, I was still immersed in the legal world, but (truth be told) it was my dream of owning vineyard property in the Napa Valley that ultimately sent me packing from Chicagos relentless winters.
I realized my dream in 2002 when I acquired a small vineyard ranch in Napa Valleys famed Rutherford district. With a little patient tutoring from a valley winemaker, I learned some old school basics, and have been producing my own "estate" cabernet ever since. I am working on a label, but thats another story..
A proven track record of integrity, professionalism and service are a great fit with any real estate client, but the opportunity to help others on their own personal journeys is what really drives me! I have made friends with many like-minded travelers whose itineraries through life-often with a bit of serendipity-are not unlike my own unique journey from Philadelphia to the heart of the Napa Valley.
