The architectural design for The Palace, Xinyi, which was a collaborative effort between world-renowned architect C.Y. It employs a better-than-hospital-grade seismic base isolation system which is able to cope with earthquakes five times more powerful than conventional isolation systems can handle. The entire building is clad in elegant, off-white stone; with its high windows, oval balconies and square crown, The Palace, Xinyi – which is located down a tranquil, shady side-street – exudes a quiet confidence, a sense of wealth without arrogance and an unspoken aura of leadership.
