Cory was born and grew up in the Detroit area. For generations, his family has owned a well-respected homebuilding business there, and from age 12 until he left to attend college, he held every humble job on a construction site. Upon graduation from the University of Michigan, Cory moved to Chicago to begin his career in new home development.

While initially hired as a construction superintendent, his first job quickly shifted into a sales and marketing role. He began his career in new home sales with some of the region’s largest development firms, receiving the very best in sales training. Cory found great success in new home sales throughout the Chicagoland area in the 90’s, winning numerous industry sales awards and achieving over 100 personal sales to individual buyers in 1999 alone.

By the end of 1999, Cory began using his strong sales experience to train new home salespeople for a large regional development firm. Cory often says, “The only thing I ever liked more than selling new homes was teaching others how to successfully sell new homes.”

Cory was at the forefront of using the internet to market real estate developments. He led one of the first dedicated real estate development internet sales team in Chicago, proving internet leads could be captured and effectively converted into sales. By 2000, he was promoted to run the entire sales and marketing effort for the same large regional developer.

Since then, Cory has developed a reputation for recruiting, training, and leading some of the strongest new home development sales teams in the market. Over the years, he has hired and trained hundreds of new home sales people and continues to introduce new people to the industry.

He has been on the acquisition/ analysis team of hundreds of potential development sites throughout the country. With his extensive experience in developing comprehensive sales and marketing plans, Cory excels at finding additional deal margin through in-depth product review, unit-to-unit pricing studies, penetration pricing models and strong presale activity. His strategic marketing plans specifically factor in targeted buyer profiles, project lifecycles, seasonality, and the various market segments involved in the adoption of a new concept or project.

Cory and the Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty team are currently working with developers to help analyze and maximize the potential projects on the front end. After completing feasibility studies and helping developers secure project financing, Cory and Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty put together a comprehensive marketing plan and the best-trained sales team to ensure success for their clients. Cory has lived in Chicago and Oak Park with his family for over 20 years.
